About Me
Hi, I'm Emmy, a Junior Creative Designer and Computer Games Design graduate. I am practiced in user interface development, graphic design, building web pages, and video editing.
I have come to discover a sense of style for my art that benefits from minimalism, with a vibrant coherent colour palette that fits an intended theme and catches the eye. My aim to achieve creative fulfillment led me to pursue training in a medium that thrives in rich storytelling opportunities and forming a community. I would later come to identify my specific interest in graphic design through my role as lead UI designer in my final year of my degree. I now work as a Junior Creative Designer for My Thriving Child, where I continue to refine my capabilities and explore many avenues of digital design.
I have always been driven to identify successful brand identities across the web and print, as well as UI and level design techniques within all the games I play. This has shown me how I can best visually communicate innovative concepts with an audience, an essential goal of mine. With this knowledge, I have produced a variety of engaging content for educational purposes. As well as this, I have implemented icons and working HUDs into diverse game worlds, keeping animation in mind to bring visuals to life and improve the user experience. I have practice in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. I also find myself at home working with Unreal Engine 4/5 and Plastic SCM source control.
As a junior seeking an entry point into the creative industry, I am eager to learn more to deliver essential assets to clients, gain valuable experience, and expand my portfolio. I am highly motivated by a strong work ethic and strive for the best quality, paying close attention to detail to display ideas effectively. Frequent in-person and remote teamwork has refined my ability to manage my time and keep my tasks strictly organised, preparing me to integrate into a professional environment with like-minded individuals. I have engaged in daily stand-ups, discussions between various departments, and preparing sprints in Agile development to keep a project on track.
