Work Experience

I am currently working as a Creative Design Lead Intern for My Thriving Child, founded by world-leading therapist in divorce and expert in child development, Hannah Strong. I have played a vital role in producing various design assets to elevate the company as part of a collaborative team. I have gained valuable experience with industry standard design tools, video editing software, website builders, and managing online marketing content.

BRANDING WORK

During my time working for My Thriving Child, I was promoted to Lead Creative Designer. One of the first major responsibilities of this role involved me independently developing a brand identity for a new sister company offering general 1:1 therapeutic support, titled 'THERAPY.' I was tasked with following a clear brief set by the founder, aiming to establish a clean and modern aesthetic for the brand that coveys professionalism and discretion to potential clients.

The chosen black and white scheme reflects examples of existing brands that display high-quality and class, whilst also establishing comfort and encouraging openness. The contrast of a bold sans-serif font and sophisticated serif font for the tagline further refines the logo, creating structure through hierarchy in the typography. Several versions of the logo were produced to accommodate different layouts across websites and print.

The guidelines I set were adhered to whilst adapting the brand for a website layout to host 'THERAPY.' services and direct client traffic. Subtle animations throughout allows information to flow and direct the viewer's eye down the page. Bespoke illustrations were also produced to enhance the website's visuals and the brand overall, intentionally stylised to appear imperfect and hand-drawn in line with themes of vulnerability and authenticity.

The primary logo was also adapted for the production of physical signage to be displayed on the company's clinic. This process involved consistent communication with manufacturers to determine materials, dimensions, colours, and costs. A consent proposal for the landlord and council was prepared, detailing plans for the installation of the signage through careful consideration of the building's structure.

An example of how a text document is structured in accordance to the brand guidelines is seen here in this personalised proposal for a client, clearly outlining the details of a year-long therapeutic programme. It features sleek decorative lines to frame the document, similarly to the 'THERAPY.' website, and includes a non-intrusive submark of the logo in the corner as copyright.

GRAPHICS FOR WEB & PRINT

As Lead Creative Designer, I was tasked with putting together a professional presentation for a formal business meeting involving the founder of My Thriving Child. The presentation needed to provide concise information and visual aid to demonstrate the services provided by the business and the effects of therapeutic techniques. The secondary serif font was predominantly used throughout the presentation to establish a more serious tone as opposed to the more typical carefree style of the brand.

These slides were then adapted into A5 sized double-sided cards printed on premium card and handed out during the meeting, providing a recap on key points and contact information. This improved the overall impression of the business and made it more memorable. Design elements from the slide were adjusted to comfortably fit the new dimensions.

I have designed numerous graphics for use online, such as custom digital email signatures for all My Thriving Child employees. Photography was altered to appear as if it were emerging from the circular boarder containing it, providing visual interest. The playful energy of the brand is reflected in the wispy lines.

I have also formatted banners for social media accounts promoting the business, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp, keeping all key visual elements within a safe boundary according to the dimensions. Icons for profile pictures were also made for various client community group chats.

PDF GUIDES & COPYWRITING

As part of a pre-interview task, I created an informative PDF worksheet that aligned with My Thriving Child's brand guidelines and demonstrated imaginative additions to the visual identity. Out of 75 applicants, I was one of three chosen to progress onto the interview stage, where my clear ambition to learn and motivation to complete quality work was recognised. Making use of the brand's mascots, I constructed charming scenes that evoke a feeling of encouragement and reassurance, appealing to My Thriving Child's core audience of divorced parents seeking support. Alongside the PDF, I provided a detailed description of my design intentions, breaking down all aspects of the pages.

My first task as Junior Creative Designer was to re-design the covers of 4 pre-existing PDF guides. These images were made for use across My Thriving Child's website and to be attached to email campaigns as content thumbnails. It was essential to capture the main themes of each guide to attract the viewer and inform them of how the content relates to their situation.

Here is an example of one of my covers being used within an email for Valentine's Day 2026. Clicking the image takes recipients of the email to the PDF download.

I have proofread and edited copy for several PDF guides to identify grammatical errors and improve their quality.

I have also written the copy for some of these emails with the assistance of AI tools to retain brand voice, directing recipients to click on links or join masterclasses.

COURSE VIDEO MATERIAL

To accompany a section of Module 1 in the 7-Step Programme offered by Hannah Strong, I was tasked to produce visual slides to help retain viewer attention and demonstrate the thought exercise. I utilised motion graphics, made using After Effects, to bring a minimalist flair to this portion of the video, where design elements moved in accordance to Hannah's prompts. The video aims to be clear and educational like a presentation. It references analogies and acronyms Hannah has established in prior videos of the 7-Step Programme, comprehensibly tying information together.

WEBSITE DESIGN

I remade one of My Thriving Child's primary website pages, titled Work With Hannah, providing new artwork and edited copy. The layout was significantly improved and designed to flow naturally with arrows and playful dotted lines as the viewer scrolls through, presenting information in a digestible manner. Alongside the graphic of parent and child holding hands, I also edited photos of mockup images highlighting various content offered by Hannah Strong on multiple devices. This allows clients to feel confident in the amount of material they will receive from each offer.

I also re-designed the website's tool bar header to appear more organised and refined, adding a new call-to-action button highlighting the Free Masterclass as the gateway into the 7-Step Programme.

I then developed a Testimonials page to contain all client TrustPilot reviews and recorded interviews in one organised space. I made a lively mockup with pictures of clients surrounding the founder, as well as expressive drawings of characters to provide storytelling. This page demonstrates information hierarchy through the use of typography and colours to highlight important details and make them more digestible.

VIDEO EDITING & PUBLISHING

One of my main tasks as a Creative Designer is video editing, which requires strong attention to detail and precision for the highest quality product to be delivered to clients. I have edited a 50 minute long insightful masterclass, where I removed any recording mistakes, colour corrected footage, proofread subtitles, and added animated graphics to highlight key points in the lesson or advertise services on offer. I have also meticulously edited all course videos found on the 7 Step Programme, the main paid product provided by My Thriving Child.

To promote the most recent episode I edited of the 'My Thriving Child Podcast With Therapist Hannah Strong', I carefully selected a series of engaging moments that best suited the format of social media content. I produced 4 reels in total for upload across the social platforms of Hannah and episode guest, Chloe Oudiz.

I added subtitles to each of the reels to draw in the attention of viewers. Words are highlighted as they are spoken, a modern video editing technique seen in short form content.

The full 20-minute long podcast episode, titled 'Long Distance Co-Parenting & International Divorce', was uploaded through Libsyn and released on multiple platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. My work was highly praised for its attention to detail, maintaining the clarity of the brand's message throughout. I also embedded the video code onto its own landing page to be viewable on My Thriving Child's main site.

A unique description was required to summarise key points made within the episode to resonate with potential viewers. Within the copy, I maintained the warm and friendly brand voice used throughout My Thriving Child's website, as well as the use of emoji icons for a modern appeal.

The videos I have edited provide top-level insights into the mind of a child during divorce and how to practically apply this knowledge to establish change. Those who have experienced Hannah's content often choose to share how it has impacted their lives. I edited Sarah's 15-minute testimonial video and thumbnail, making sure to display engagement between both parties throughout the interview with intentional back-and-forth cuts.

I have edited and uploaded many social media posts promoting upcoming launches for masterclasses and podcast episodes released by My Thriving Child. I have managed the schedule of these posts through Loomly and performed quality checks on automated messages through ManyChat, allowing potential clients to receive access to events through the comment section.
